Welcome to Hidden Hills Hebrew School!

Hidden Hills Hebrew School is the children's program of Chabad of Hidden Hills, open to every Jewish child from every kind of home, no matter their background or level of observance. From Kindergarten through 8th grade, children learn to read Hebrew through our Hebrew Scouts program, explore Jewish holidays, heroes, and traditions through the cKids curriculum, and build a lifelong love and pride in their Jewish identity, one joyful lesson at a time.

Get Started With Our School

Hebrew Reading

Through our Hebrew Scouts program, children learn to read Hebrew at their own pace, building real confidence in davening and reading.

Two Session Options

Choose the day that works best for your family: Sundays from 10:00-12:00 PM, or Tuesdays from 2:45-4:45 PM.

Qualified Teachers

Warm, caring educators with strong backgrounds in Jewish education, who bring every lesson to life and make each child feel valued.

Quality Education

Small class sizes mean every child gets personal attention in a warm, caring environment where they are known and loved.

What We Offer

At our education center, we provide a variety of benefits and advantages for your kids’ successful education, while allowing your kid to stay fully active, creative and healthy

Hands-On Learning

We teach the way kids learn best: through art, games, song, and hands-on activities, so every lesson comes alive and sticks.

Small Class Size

With small classes, every child is known by name and never lost in the crowd.

Certified Teachers

Warm, dedicated educators who know how to teach, and how to make a child fall in love with being Jewish.

Personalized Attention

Every child is greeted by name in a warm, nurturing environment where they feel safe, valued, and cared for.

Creative Lessons

Every lesson comes to life through art, music, movement, and storytelling, so children learn Jewish values in a way that feels joyful, not like a lecture.

Happy Environment

Children come for the friends and the fun, and leave with a Jewish pride that lasts a lifetime.

A Typical Session

Every session, our classroom comes alive. Children arrive with a smile, settle in with their teacher, and dive into a lively lesson brought to life with songs, games, and hands-on activities. They climb the Hebrew Scouts reading ladder at their own pace and explore Jewish holidays and heroes through cKids, heading home a little prouder to be Jewish than when they walked in. Choose the session that fits your family: Sundays from 10:00-12:00 PM, or Tuesdays from 2:45-4:45 PM.

Our Programs

Tefillah

Together we explore the prayers and what they mean, including the Shema and the blessings on different foods. Children come to understand the importance of prayer and connect to G-d through the songs and tunes that make davening something they look forward to.

Jewish Studies

Through the cKids curriculum, children explore the holidays, the heroes of the Torah, the mitzvot, and the story of our people. Lessons come to life through an engaging slideshow followed by fun games, so children learn in a joyful, positive way.

Hebrew Scouts

At the heart of our program is Hebrew Scouts, our beloved Hebrew reading program. It breaks Hebrew reading into levels, and every child works at their own pace. Each new level a child earns is a real moment of pride, taking them step by step from recognizing their first letters to reading with fluency.

Why Jewish Education

"The pursuit of knowledge for its own sake, an almost fanatical love of justice, and the desire for personal independence-these are the features of the Jewish tradition which make me thank my stars that I belong to it."
Albert Einstein
The World As I See It, 1934
"G-d refused the patriarchs and refused the prophets. Only when the Jewish people answered 'our children will be our guarantors' did He give the Torah."
The Lubavitcher Rebbe
Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson
"Nothing is so acceptable to G-d as the prayers and blessings that come from the lips of pure children."
The Baal Shem Tov
Founder of Chassidism
